Easy to Use – Instant set – Ultra high hold – environmentally friendly
- Self Launching and Retrieval
- Single Shackle Fixing
- Roll-Stability (Once a Rocna is set, it will remain buried even under high loads.)
- ‘Roll Bar’ – This serve one main purpose: it ensures the Rocna will adopt the correct setting attitude, which is loosely described as being on its side with the complete anchor weight supported between the skids, the end of the shank, and the chisel-tip of the blade. It also means that the toe does not need to be weighted with extra lead or cast iron. This in turn allows a much larger total blade area and generally more optimal weight distribution.
The Rocna anchor was designed by legendary Kiwi Yachtie Peter Smith, who’s been designing, building and sailing racing and cruising yachts since the early 1960’s. Peter, like so many of us, was fed up with dragging anchors and and sleepless nights and decided to do something about it. This involved countless hours at the design table, tests and re-tests, modifications and improvements and always practical testing in a variety of conditions.
The result has been the development of the Rocna anchor – the next generation – which is fast becoming recognized world wide as the best anchor available.
